Join Dave Finkelnburg, of Matt and Dave’s Clays, as he talks about glaze formulation, handling and application to create better fired glazes. Topics will include application, suspension agents, kiln firing to influence glaze results, improving finishes, glaze recipes and their design, glaze fit and more. Participants will put theory to the test through hands-on experimentation reinforcing concepts covered during the workshop. All levels are welcome.

Dave Finkelnburg is technical editor of Ceramics Monthly and a partner in Matt and Dave’s Clays, LLC.

Participants will have the opportunity to preview Red Star’s gallery exhibition, External Views, featuring some of the finest examples of glazed work in the country.
