Window #1- Sarah Gross

This form was slab-built with black stoneware and was cut into to creat quatrefoil-shaped holes. It was left unglazed and fired in a cone 10 reduction process and measures 9" x 2.5" x 8.5".

Sarah Gross uses the screen in her work as a physical manifestation of dividers; social, political, and religious. Sarah was born and raised in New York City and has done artist residencies at Greenwich House Pottery, the Lawrence Arts Center, and Grand Valley State University. She received a BA in Studio Art from Carleton College and an MFA in Ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design.
