DANimal - Daniel Ricardo Teran

“Danimal” was sculpted from earthenware and bare clay. Half animal and half human, the artist modeled the human portion of the sculpture after himself. The sculpture also functions as a salt and pepper trotter set. It comes with two small dishes and two small spoons.

Daniel Ricardo Teran is a 2007 Kansas City Art Institute graduate of ceramics from, Dallas, TX. Teran creates narrative ceramics, inspired by his Latin American and European heritage. The surfaces are etched with illustrations of issues such as identity, energy and death. Teran has been a Juried Artist in Residence at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts, in Newcastle, ME and an Artist Resident at The Armory Art Center, in West Palm Beach, FL. He currently lives in Philadelphia, PA.
