This set was slip-cast using porcelain and glazed with a translucent, glossy glaze. Each was fired in a cone 10 oxidation process and measures 5.5" x 4.5" x 3.5".

Erickson earned her BFA at The University of the Arts, majoring in Crafts with a concentration in Art Education. Continuing her studies at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Erickson earned a MFA in Ceramic Art in 2004. After the following summer as a resident at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana, Erickson was awarded a Fulbright fellowship to conduct independent research at Alto University in Helsinki, Finland from 2004-2005. Afterwards, she moved to Philadelphia where she became a resident artist at The Clay Studio and lectured at The University of the Arts, Rowan University, and Arcadia University. Erickson is currently The Robert Chapman Turner Teaching Fellow in Ceramic Art at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Erickson’s work has been shown internationally and is represented in collections around the world. Erickson’s work has also earned numerous awards, including first place for the Hunter Douglas Horizon Award presented by the Museum of Art and Design in New York and honorable mentions at the Korea Biennale International 2007 & 2009 Exhibitions. Her work appeared in the February 2008 Ceramics Monthly as the cover article. She was awarded an Independence Foundation Artist Fellowship for a summer 2009 residency at The International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark. |
