This vessel was slab-built using stoneware and glazed with a semi-translucent blue glaze. It was mid-range fired and measures 8" x 7" x 18".

Neil Patterson received his BFA in Ceramics and Sculpture at The Cleveland Institute of Art, and his MFA from Louisiana State University. His work has since become a part of The Cleveland Museum of Art's Permanent and Extensions Collections, as well as the Jacksonville State University Permanent Collection. He has been awarded The Dene M. Louchheim Faculty Fellowship and The Robert Mann Award for Excellence in Ceramics from The Cleveland Museum of Art. Neil exhibits his work both nationally and internationally. He has taught workshops around the country and has been an adjunct ceramics instructor at both the Tyler School of Art and the Community College of Philadelphia for over ten years. |
