Jane Shellenbarger recieved her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and her MFA from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. She was a resident artist at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana until 1997. Jane has exhibited her work in several galleries around the country and is in the permanent collections of the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C., The Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts, and The University Museum of Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. She has taught at Kansas City Art Institute, Penland School of Crafts, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and the University of Northern Iowa. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at Northern Michigan University.
