Gwendolyn Yoppolo is a studio artist in resident at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT. Yoppolo spent time as the Studio Technician at New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, and as an Assistant Professor at Juniata College (PA) before leaving to devote more attention to her studio practice. Yoppolo earned her MFA from Penn State (PA) in 2006. While at Penn State, she received two fellowship awards for her research using the scanning electron microscope to photograph microscopic landscapes of beach rubble, sugar, and cereals. Yoppolo had her first solo exhibition, Anticipation, at Red Star Studios in September 2009.
