Sandy Lockwood has been making pots and teaching for over 25 years. The British-born artist received her Certificate of Ceramics at the National Art School in Sydney in 1980. She then established Balmoral Pottery in the Southern Highlands, specializing in wood-firing and salt glazing. She received her Graduate and Masters Diploma at Monash University in Visual Arts and has been a part-time teacher at various colleges since 1980. Her work is widely and internationally recognized.
