Jeff Oestreich recieved his BFA from Bemidji State University in northern Minnesota, and his MFA from University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, Jeff moved to England to begin a two-year apprenticeship with Bernard Leach. Upon returning to the US in 1971, Oesteich set up his studio in rural Wisconsin, later relocating to Minnesota. He exhibits and conducts workshops nationally and internationally. Oestreich has recieved the McKnight Foundation Grant as well as the Jerome Foundation Grant which allowed him to exhibit and teach in England, Scotland, Wales, New Zealand, and Australia.
