Brooke Noble
Brooke Noble’s ceramics play with imagery that references childhood, home, birds and independent winged women. She habitually references the house as a metaphor, considering ideas surrounding the comforts of home, activities within the domestic realm and the significant distinctions between the interior and the exterior of this particular structure. Her use of soft pillow imagery for wallhangings serves to highlight the accoutrements of home while the modern design and unconventional fabrication speak to a contemporary sensibility.
