Richard Burkett recieved his MFA in Ceramics and Photography from Indiana University – Bloomington in 1983. Burkett is the author of the noted Glaze Calculation software and is the co-author with Glenn Nelson of Ceramics: A Potter's Handbook. He currently teaches at San Diego State University where he resides and splits his time between teaching and traveling.
