Jared Gelormino was born in Torrington, Connecticut. His childhood experiences working for his father's garage and oil delivery service laid the groundwork for many of his aesthetic choices in his work today. He received his BFA in ceramics from Maine College of Art in 2006. Gelormino has been a resident artist at the Cub Creek Foundation, a Special Student at Bowling Green State University, and is currently an artist in residence at the St. Petersburg Clay Company. Following his current residency Gelormino will be attending Indiana University as a Masters Candidate.
