Green & White Vase - Martha Grover

These small vase were wheel-thrown and altered using porcelain. They were coated with a white mottled glaze and decorated with blushes of color and iron oxide dots. They were fired in cone 11 process and measure 4” x 4” x 5.5”

Martha Grover is a full time artist currently at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT.  Grover received her MFA in ceramics from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2007. Since then, she has been awarded the Fogelberg Fellowship for a nine month residency at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her porcelain work inspired by floral imagery. c Her work has been published in Ceramics Monthly, Clay Times, 500 Pitchers, 500 Platters, 500 Vases, and  her work was featured on the cover of Ceramic Monthly’s May 2010 issue
