Red Star Studios Programs for Girl Scouts
GIRL SCOUT BADGE WORKSHOPS: Earn badge requirements while having fun! Seven new workshops taught by experienced art educators are now available. Create art projects at Red Star’s teaching studio, tour contemporary art exhibition at Belger Arts Center, and more! All clay projects created and decorated in studio will be fired and ready for pick up within one week. Please allow two hours for each workshop.

FREE TOURS AND HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES You Schedule It! All Ages
Red Star Studios offers free hands-on activities to troops in conjunction with free tours of Belger Arts Center contemporary art exhibitions. Each hands-on clay activity references themes, concepts and/or artist processes included in the exhibitions. Please allow 30 minutes for the tour and 30 minutes for the hands-on activity.

GIRLS TRY-IT WORKSHOPS All Ages
Have some fun trying your hand at the potter's wheel. We'll make a few things using basic hand- building techniques too. You take home the experience, we recycle the clay. Please allow for an hour and a half for the full experience. This workshop also includes a tour of the Belger Arts Center galleries!

GIRLS KEEP-IT WORKSHOPS All Ages
Groups get a tour of the exhibitions upstairs, participate in the hands-on downstairs and spend time on the Wheel. Similar to the Try-It workshop, but students decorate their wheel projects and Red Star staff fires them for a later pick-up. Please allow for an hour and 45 minutes per visit for the full experience.
