Crafted in Jingdezhen porcelain, this luscious, pale celadon cup celebrates overlooked domestic patterns through elegant surface applications with a subtle glaze palette. The pierced patterns are filled with a glaze making this a fully, functional vessel. Measures 3" x 3" x 3 1/2".

Meredith Host was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She received her BFA in Ceramics from Kansas City Art Institute in 2001 and her MFA in Ceramics from The Ohio State University in 2008. Her work has been exhibited nationally and featured in a number of print publications, including Ceramics: Art & Perception Technical, Ceramics Monthly, Graphic Clay: Ceramic Surfaces & Printed Image Transfer, and 500 Prints on Clay. In 2011 she was named Emerging Artist by Ceramics Monthly and the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA). Currently Meredith is a full-time studio potter in Kansas City, MO. Her designs are inspired by her collection of “overlooked, domestic patterns” found on toilet paper, paper towels and other paper products. She celebrates their ubiquitousness in the context of other domestic objects meant for daily use.
