Roberto Lugo feed

Red Star's third Digital Debut exhibition features the work of Roberto Lugo. Using humor and irony, his work tells of his personal experiences. Exposed to street art growing up in Philadelphia, his imagery is often graffiti-inspired. Using china painting on porcelain, he also depicts animals as allegories for his human narratives. Lugo pursues activism through arts and community involvement. His community work strongly impacts his studio production. Lugo received his BFA in Ceramics in 2012 from the Kansas City Art Institute and is pursuing his MFA at Penn State. He's exhibited nationally and his work was included in the September 2012 issue of Ceramics Monthly. This Digital Debut exhibition ends December 31.
